When these clients built their dream home in the woods and prairie of Minnetrista, they wanted the land around it to feel just as intentional — and just as alive. Out back, the design opens into a series of purposeful spaces connected by a bleached wood boardwalk. A concrete dining terrace anchors outdoor entertaining. A light box pergola frames the western sky — built for watching the sunset with a drink in hand. Chaise loungers nestle into the landscape for slow afternoons in the sedge. And tucked at the edge of it all, a sauna. Because of course.

Prairie Restorations brought the front meadow to life with native seedings that hum with pollinators all summer. The rest of the yard holds that same wild spirit — low-input, textured, and rooted in place. A landscape that belongs exactly where it landed.
